Posted on Robert McCullough We enrolled our son at 4; now at 6 he’s so glad he’s part of this wonderful club. Coach Nuno and Coach Donavan have made huge impacts on our son. If you’re on the fence and they’re accepting new students, I cannot recommend AHCC enough.Posted on John Paul Great welcome from the professor and team! Will be coming back while here in San Antonio for the next year!Posted on Josh C If you’re looking for an amazing place for you or your family to train then Alamo Heights Combat Club is it. Our son has been training here for the past year. Professor Nuno and coach Donny are incredibly skilled, patient with the kids and push them to reach their full potential. Definitely recommend!!!Posted on Ramon Garza III AHCC is great for children. Our daughter has been enrolled for 4 months and Professor Nuno, Coach Donny, and the other coaches are great with the kids. They learn discipline, BJJ as well as get energy out. We recommend them highly.Posted on Brenda Lee Ojeda our granddaughter went in shy being picked on in school and unsure of herself and her abilities. since joining she gained confidence , is sure of herself her abilities to succeed and excel she’s more disciplined and has gained so many skills to protect herself. Because of the structure of teaching personal attention to the children and the valuable skills taught our granddaughter has not only excelled in jiu jitsu but also at school she’s a straight A student she’s a part of student government has excelled with strength in other sports and no longer is picked on. She’s a force to be reckoned with. jiu jitsu has given her an excellent foundation for great growth we have made an excellent choice and investment thank you so much we are forever gratefulPosted on Brittany Baker My child loves coming and coaches are incredible!Posted on Jeff Matre Very impressed with AHCC. Well-balanced supportive/competitive environment for both my son and daughter to strengthen his/her mind and body in a great community of classmates.Posted on Paul Anthony Flynn I have nothing but high praise for AHCC. Professor Nuno and assistant coach Donny are amazing with the kids. Classes are thoughtfully put together with a mix of playful exercises and more serious training where the kids are expected to display an uncommon level of discipline for such young kids. The facility itself is kept clean and orderly. There is no shortage of kids, so there’s ample opportunity to train with various skill levels. My son recently entered his first tournament, and he did well in a way that was a testament to how good - despite how much fun the kids have - the training actually is at AHCC. Attached is a video of his very first match.Posted on Blake Baumgarte Awesome is the only way to explain the experience at Alamo Heights Combat Club! Nuno Is creating something special at his gym. I was in San Antonio visiting, and he allowed me to drop by not only for the open mat but the next day as well. Even finding time to train and talk jiujitsu with me. If you’re looking for a safe and knowledgeable atmosphere for yourself or your kids. Where the coaches and professor care about everyone then you have to check out Alamo Heights!!Posted on BELLA RECKO We love AHCC for our 5 yo daughter. She has grown so much in strength and confidence from the coaching and community of children, something we weren’t getting out of gymnastics or other organized sports. Her behavior and personality grew, along with her coordination and ability to learn these new skills. The coaching is phenomenal, I don’t think you will find it anywhere else, we love Professor and Coach Donny! They are serious, but take the time to build the rapport needed in order for the young children to trust and listen to them. There are no participation trophies, rather you earn your stripes through hard work, and if you regress, they can be taken away and earned again. I love the discipline of the sport, but also the balance required to make this challenging activity fun and enjoyable for the children to want to come back again and again. I love that my daughter has found something she truly enjoys. Highly recommended!
